JOB DESCRIPTION:
·         Analyse and solve complex transportation planning or engineering problems dealing with all travel modes - influence the way alternative travel modes are considered and accounted for on project
·         Communicate clearly and concisely, with strong technical writing and public presentation skill
·         Use a variety of software programs effectively and make timely and informed recommendations to elected officials, managers and decision maker
·         Work on a wide variety of interesting projects, with outputs that may include traffic and transit simulation, campus plans, multimodal corridor studies, transportation impact studies, bicycle and pedestrian studies, and regional transportation plan
·         Manage projects and develop high quality internal and external client relationships
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
·         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in transportation, civil, or urban and regional planning, or a related major
·         Professional Certification (i.e. AICP or PE)
·         Experience developing a variety of transportation plans, project managing and presenting.

·         Preparation of conceptual layouts, final designs, PS&E (plans, specifications, and estimates), supporting calculations, developing ITS systems engineering and strategic planning documentation, etc.
·         Apply data analytics to emerging trends in transportation performance monitoring and measures of effectiveness.
·         Support Transpo Group's ITS practices by conducting research in emerging technologies such as Transit Signal Priority, Connected Vehicles, Autonomous Vehicles and Smart Cities.
·         Creating documentation for traffic signal and illumination systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems, roadway geometrics and channelization, and roundabouts 
·         Utilize AutoCAD and MicroStation, and leverage your existing knowledge of these programs to learn further add-ons, as necessary
·         Determine project budget requirements to complete or carry out work for a proposed project or program
·         May lead technical aspect of a certain project
·         Provide quality control on own work
·         Engage in Business Development conversations and write components of a proposal

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
·         3-5 years of Transportation Engineering experience
