ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION:
·         Inspect and apply operating and performance tests to Marine and facility electronic and electrical system components to determine causes of malfunctions and operating deficiencies.  Through these inspections and tests, determine the extent and feasibility of repairs and recommend replacement or retention of such components on the basis of costs, prudent operating practices, and safety considerations. 
·         Install and/or set up process control PCs, software applications, cabling, electronic presets, and other electronic and electrical components and equipment.  In addition, responsible for working with Marine Logistics, Marine Engineering, M&TE project engineers, Construction Specialists, and other Marine Repair Facility Crafts to provide input pertaining to new and replacement installations.
·         Repair and maintain electronic and electrical components by disassembling them and reconditioning or replacing parts.  Repair equipment to the board level and sometimes the component level.  Make repairs by soldering components and also they fabricate cables needed to complete the repairs and then test and adjust the components for proper operations.
·         Schedule and perform periodic and preventative maintenance, inspections, and testing of electronic and electrical components by visual inspection, reference to technical manuals, and use of testing equipment. Determine what regular and special maintenance procedures need to be performed, parts that require replacement, and necessary precautions to keep electronic and electrical components in proper operating condition.

CREDIT & ANALYSIS MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION:
·         Supervise the activities of 6 exempt and non-exempt employees
·         Direct credit responsibility for Northern Asphalt; management responsibility for Southern Asphalt and Heavy Oils, Petrochemicals, and SD&P
·         Financial review and credit assessment to determine an appropriate level of credit and/or security for customers
·         Collection of outstanding customer balances

ADMINISTRATOR CORPORATE GOVERNANCE

·         Has primary responsibility for quarterly administration of certain SOX controls relating to corporate governance.

MARKETING ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION:
·         Conduct comprehensive reporting for the Marketing organization consisting of various reporting responsibilities ranging from short-term (daily) to monthly and annual comparisons.
·         Coordinate the development of sales forecasts for specific Marketing classes of trade involving interfacing with other Marketing components, production schedulers, operations planning, accounting, refining, and terminal personnel.
·         Prepare Marketing information required for preparation of the Business Plan, Tactical Plans, and other financial forecasts. 
·         Conduct special studies and sales forecasts for particular markets to assist management in evaluating various business opportunities.

ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST

JOB DESCRIPTION:
·         Provides environmental engineering support for MPC’s 7-plant refinery operations to ensure implementation of environmental programs is in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
·         Builds strategic working relationships with each refinery and ancillary departments such as engineering, operations and technical services, providing guidance and clear direction on compliance matters for the company.
·         Develops and implements corrective actions or recommendations for environmental compliance improvements.  Provides negotiation support with federal or state regulatory agencies as needed for the refinery.  
·         Represents company in meetings with federal, state and local regulatory agencies. 
·         Identifies emerging environmental issues, reviews and provides guidance for the implementation of new environmental programs.  Provides technical assistance in regulatory advocacy work that may be needed for proposed regulations.
·         Identifies areas where capital improvements are needed and supports development of refinery budget.  Facilitates development of Decision Support Packages (DSP) to support engineering and construction of required projects.
·         Oversees the implementation of MPC Consent Decrees or Agreements, including but not limited to the Flare Consent Decree.

ELECTRICIAN

The successful candidate must pass both a written test and a hands-on skill demonstration test.  The duties for this position will be performed in an outdoor process facility under the direction of the Maintenance Department and will be subject to forced overtime.
LIGHT PRODUCTS TRANSPORT DRIVERS

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Drivers will be required to load petroleum products into the transport by inspecting the transport for compliance with safety regulations, confirm the products to be delivered with dispatch and load the products safely. Drivers are responsible for sampling/testing to ensure product quality. Drivers must transport the product from the distribution facility safely. This entails conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adjusting driving habits to road conditions and being able to position the transport at both load and unload sites. Upon arriving at the unloading site, drivers must inspect the transport and the surrounding areas, ensure that the tank at the site will be able to hold the product and ensure quality control. Drivers must meet all regulatory requirements with all training modules and completion of all paperwork (DOT, Marathon Petroleum, etc), and by complying with Marathon’s safety rules and guidelines. Drivers must coordinate with the transport scheduling analysts to ensure that the correct products are being sent to the correct sites at the correct time. Drivers will be required to troubleshoot issues and make minor repairs on the truck as necessary. Drivers are responsible for any relevant work as assigned by the Regional Transport Manager as necessary to support Terminal and Fleet Operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED is required. Candidates must have an excellent driving record, be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid CDL with Hazardous and Tanker Endorsements and be able to pass a required DOT physical, drug test and background check. Applicants must be willing to work 12 hours shifts which could include nights, weekends and holidays. Applicants must be professional, have a positive attitude, and be a team player.
