CRAFTSMAN

JOB DESCRIPTION:
·         Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the refinery equipment including, but not limited to, all process units, tank farms, buildings and yards.
·         The Welder/craftsman completes routine paperwork and work orders regarding the repair of process equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will be required to pass all of the critical job functions and must show evidence of having previously been qualified to weld carbon steel pipe with the GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (stick) processes. The successful Candidate will be expected to qualify to similar MPC Welding Procedures per the requirements of ASME Section IX. The successful candidates must pass both a written test and a hands-on skill demonstration test. The duties will be performed in an outdoor process facility under the direction of the Maintenance Department and will be subject to forced overtime.
PROCUREMENT CONTRACTS REPRESENTATIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION:
·         Negotiates the acquisition of goods and services or utilizes the appropriate corporate agreements, which satisfy customer specifications, delivery requirements, and performance and reliability expectations while optimizing the cost of goods and services within the refinery.
·         Processes requisitions into purchase orders, tracks and expedites those purchase orders, corrects errors with vendors, and clears blocked invoices for payment.
·         Conducts bid processes, oversees the preparation of bid packages, prepares bid analysis and participates in final contract award decisions.
·         Reviews qualified vendors, contractors and develops preferred suppliers aligned with the strategic objectives of the client organization, corporate Procurement, and Marathon Petroleum.
·         Manages individual local and regional key supplier relationships to optimize the exchange of value with those companies and maximize value of the relationship for all parties.
·         Analyzes the efficiencies, effectiveness, and performance of the refinery’s goods and services requirements and develops meaningful performance metrics to facilitate bench marking and measurement of continuous improvement.
·         Supports refinery turnaround activity. This will include weekend and/or night shifts (in a 7/12 schedule) as required during the actual turnarounds
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
·         Degree: A Bachelor’s Degree is required; preferred majors include Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, and Engineering.
·         Computer Proficiencies: Applicants must be proficient with Microsoft Office software including Excel. SAP experience (SRM, CLM, ECC modules) a plus.
·         Work Experience: 5 years of experience with materials procurement strongly preferred.
INTERNAL AUDITOR

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Audit is a fast-paced environment in which the successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and testing Marathon's information system (IS) control environment. An IT Infrastructure auditor participates in reviews of internal controls within computer applications, technology infrastructure, and developing systems. Initially, this position will focus on technology infrastructure with opportunities to later focus on application controls. Technology infrastructure includes Mainframe, Windows, UNIX, VMWare ESX, SQL, Oracle, SAP, business and process control networks. An IT auditor has the potential to be exposed to operational and corporate infrastructures and its management during this assignment. The auditor gains an understanding of the IS operations, assesses the internal controls, and performs tests to ensure the controls are working as intended. The auditor meets with client management to discuss concerns and works with management in developing practical action plans to improve controls. Given the nature of the company’s business, approximately 25-30 percent travel to domestic locations will be required. Training in the latest technologies is provided to develop necessary skill sets.

·         Provides professional legal advice, counsel, and guidance, as a practicing attorney at law, to assure that the Company, its assets and its activities are legally safeguarded, are in conformity with all the applicable laws and regulations and will not unduly expose the Company to litigation, penalties or claims.
·         Manages and coordinates the due diligence process  for all business development projects and transactions.  Performs initial reviews of all due diligence material, including, but not limited to, material agreements, information technology agreements, and information and documentation related to real estate, intellectual property, health, environmental or safety, and human resources, and coordinates and manages subject matter expert reviews consistent with due diligence strategies.
·         Performs project management duties with regard to due diligence process and day one readiness initiatives led by the Law Organization and assists in developing reports and presentations to executive management on a project-specific basis.

MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION:




·         Oversees and manages all aspects MPC’s compliance with the Customs Importer Self-Assessment (ISA) and Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) programs and serves as the primary contact with the Petroleum CEE (Center of Excellence and Expertise) and other key Customs persons.
·         Manages and oversees all compliance processes. Works with Auditing to ensure MPC’s international trade audit program is accurate and up-to-date. Oversees and manages the Customs & International Trade staff activities.
·         Stays informed of major changes in MPC’s operations, staffing, and /or corporate structure that may require filing reports. Manages and ensures the timely filing of necessary reports.
·         Oversees and directs MPC’s Customs Compliance Coordinator’s work with MPC’s foreign trade zones and customs brokers. Participates in calls/visits as needed to address acute issues.
·         Serves as a primary liaison to MPC’s external Customs Brokers and as a primary reviewer of the brokers’ work.

TRAINING SPECIALIST

LIGHT PRODUCTS TRANSPORT DRIVERS

Drivers will be required to load petroleum products into the transport by inspecting the transport for compliance with safety regulations, confirm the products to be delivered with dispatch and load the products safely. Drivers are responsible for sampling/testing to ensure product quality. Drivers must transport the product from the distribution facility safely. This entails conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adjusting driving habits to road conditions and being able to position the transport at both load and unload sites. Upon arriving at the unloading site, drivers must inspect the transport and the surrounding areas, ensure that the tank at the site will be able to hold the product and ensure quality control. Drivers must meet all regulatory requirements with all training modules and completion of all paperwork (DOT, Marathon Petroleum, etc), and by complying with Marathon’s safety rules and guidelines. Drivers must coordinate with the transport scheduling analysts to ensure that the correct products are being sent to the correct sites at the correct time. Drivers will be required to troubleshoot issues and make minor repairs on the truck as necessary. Drivers are responsible for any relevant work as assigned by the Regional Transport Manager as necessary to support Terminal and Fleet Operations.

Candidates must have an excellent driving record, be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid CDL with Hazardous and Tanker Endorsements and be able to pass a required DOT physical, drug test and background check.
