Locate faulty equipment, determine nature of repairs and spare parts required to work correctly. Assess resource needs and perform repairs on assigned equipment as per job specifications and drawings to minimize equipment downtime and support operations. Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and ensure satisfactory repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Prepare new or modified installations on assigned equipment after successful completing repairs and test for final acceptance to ensure proper functioning of equipment. Provide coaching to 2 to 4 Machinists (Lower Level) and supervise their work to ensure proper transfer of skills and performance as per standard codes and practices.
Coordinates work assignments and activities of the Craftsmen under his direction for compliance with Maintenance Schedules and Priorities. Deploys only required resources and performs general house-keeping and cleaning duties in the assigned work areas.
16 - 20 years of progressive experience in a Refining and Petrochemical Industry. ITC qualified from Craftsmen (qualified & completed all the Core Tasks and Phases of the Maint. Training Program in the IDP Program)

  • Conduct regular inspections on plant and during operations and maintenance work to ensure that environmental standards and guidelines are being adhered to and report any deviations from environmental norms to environment section head and/or relevant section heads.
  • Develop environmental policies in compliance with legal requirements, industry standards and best practice and once approved, communicate same to maintenance and operations personnel to ensure that they are aware of the company environmental standards.
  • Conduct complex analyses on products and operations processes to determine their compliance with environmental standards and report any deviation from standards to environment section head and/or relevant section heads.
  • Interpret environmental policies and procedures for operations and maintenance personnel to ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities and in terms of environmental protection.
  • Review and consolidate reports on environmental audits apprise Management on audit findings and industrial environmental compliance.

  • Perform or assist in the start-up or shut down of assigned plant and facilities according to approved operating procedure or instruction.
  • Conduct regular inspections and walk through of plant facilities to ensure plant is functioning efficiently.
  • Spot malfunctions or symptoms and refer to Shift Supervisor or console operator.
  • Maintain field instrument or local measurement in log, and update check-lists as required.
  • Respond to emergency or upset conditions taking necessary field activities, such as flaring, blow down, isolation, diversion, switching with close communication with console operator and/or shift supervisor
  • Basic understanding of mechanism and start/stop field operation Utilities / Refinery or Petrochemical equipment’s (e.g. Heat Exchanger, Pump, Compressor, Motor, Turbine, Manual valve, Control valve, Distillation column, Reactor, Furnace etc.)

  • Reports to Section Head, Engineering Inspection, and oversee and manage all Inspection Engineering Activities by the Inspection Engineers.  Ensures that Inspection Engineers will attend the relevant OME team meetings.  Ensure EIS Compliance, Inspection Program Implementation, Failure Investigations, Bad Actor Listing, and Reviews on OSI Program are performed by the Inspection Engineers in a timely manner.
  • Enforce strict compliance to industry codes and standards related to integrity inspections performed by the AIMD. Review major inspection findings and provide Engineering Support to enhance overall AIMD Quality and reputation. Ensure the relevant inspection reports (IWS and IRs) are issued with desired quality and comprehension and to expected accuracy.
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of Inspection Programs executed (Facility Wide) and initiate necessary revisions or alternative plans to reach the desired integrity goals without compromising the safety of the plant and quality of inspection.
  • Implement Cost Saving activities as per Section's cost saving plan and managing the Sectional Operation cost with due diligent
  • Ensure assigned all Engineering Tasks and related activities meet corporate safety and environmental policy and standards in order to minimize risk of industrial injuries and un-wanted incidents

  • Bachelor or Master of Engineering in field of Mechanical/Chemical/Metallurgical from a reputed university
  • More than 12 years of work experience in an operating refinery or petrochemical plant with minimum of 5 years in technical supervisory positions in the field of Asset Integrity Management, Inspection, QA/QC and Risk-based Inspections.
  • Candidates with engineering charters or corporate memberships (C.Eng, PE, P.Eng), AWS-CWI or CSWIP, welding inspector certifications, NDT Level III are preferred
  • Good knowledge on Processing Operations, Manufacturing Practices, Cost Control and Personal Management is expected.

  • Minimum 15 year of experience in safety fire / protection in Oil & gas - 10 years in supervisory position responsible for the implementation of safety Management System
  • Participation and membership in professional societies like ASSE, AIChE professional certification or licenses would be advantageous (such as, professional Engineer, Certified safety professional, certified fire protection engineer).

  • Provides expert advice and assistance to design, construction and maintenance engineers and operating personnel on all matters pertaining to safety engineering.                                
  • Lead Safety Department engineering reviews of fire & safety designs of mega projects. This includes; FEED stage reviews, detailed design reviews, 3D Model reviews,…etc                           
  • Support in the preparation, reviews, and analysis of quantitative risk assessments, building risk assessments, and facility siting studies                                                                                       
  • Participate in major and moderate incident investigations 
  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Engineering with professional certification in process safety OR General Science Graduate with studies in Loss Prevention and professional Certification/License in process safety.
  • 15+ year experience in the oil & petrochemical process safety industry.
  • Professional certification in process safety/loss prevention by a recognized certfiying organization.

  • Conduct random inspections, within the shift, to check the Post Orders and Operating Procedures are fully implemented.
  • Carry out spot checks to ensure that the shift can respond to incidents, emergencies, disasters, bomb threats and terrorist threats.
  • Ensure that Supervisors are conducting effective day-today planning and organization of the shift and give feedback on areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate after-hour responses and actions with Government Agencies as required after working hours
  • A qualified candidate who can fill the vacant position and perform the/ operational activities.
  • 12-15 years of experience in all aspects of security operations in a reputed organization including 2 years in PR.
  • College graduate Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
