  • Participate in the pre-qualification of bidders (including capabilities, capacities, and financial studies), monitor and track contractors’ compliance to Fluor’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE), Quality and Finance procedures currently in place 
  • Establish and maintain contract files in accordance with Fluor’s practice

  • Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques and develop the most cost-effective total project solution for the discipline engineering work 
  • Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects 
  • Develop estimates and schedules, progress reports, including manpower forecasts

CARPENTER JOURNEYMAN

Job Description:
Performs multiple aspects of applied carpentry in the maintenance or construction of camp facilities. Designs, builds, and/or modifies items of various materials such as wood, plastic laminate, etc. Items include cabinets, furniture, counter tops, shelving, fixtures, etc. Maintains integrity of facility infrastructure as related to carpentry by repairing and/or modifying doors, ceilings, floors and walls. Constructs, installs, and repairs wooden structures and fixtures. Examines blueprints and determines dimensions of structure. Selects materials and structural units, such as lumber, prefabricated doors, and cabinets of wood or plastic, and paneling, and inspects them to ensure conformance with provisions of building code, local ordinance, or work orders. Determines sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly, and erection of structure. Assigns subcontractors and/or labor broker personnel to various tasks, including cutting material to size, building concrete forms, erecting wooden framework, and laying flooring. Inspects work performed by subcontractors and/or labor brokers, including wood structures, wood framing, stair and rail framing, concrete form work, wood foundations, etc., to ensure conformance with specifications. Installs doors, builds stairs, and lays hardwood floors. May build timber structures and supports for concrete forms.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma / GED equivalent preferred. A minimum of 42 months (3.5 years) verifiable, directly related experience is required.
CHIEF SURVEYOR
Location: United States
Job Description:
  • Establishing base survey controls along the alignment.
  • Establishing GPS network along the corridor for survey control required for line and grades required for construction
  • Performing survey calculations required for construction layout and staking.
  • Utilizes methods and techniques consistent with good surveying practices resulting in an accuracy level that meets or exceeds the accuracy specified in the design documents 
    Selects and uses the appropriate surveying instruments and equipment best suited for the job 
    Provides the proper care, maintenance, checking, adjusting, and repair of surveying instruments and equipment 
  • Prepares and maintains complete and accurate field survey notes, including numerical calculations and clear, neat sketches to provide a record of the survey party’s activities 
  • Provides measurements and data to support the preparation of as-built drawings 
  • Establishes quantities for progress and cost reports and for the verification of payments to contractors 
  • Establishes and maintains a staff of qualified personnel as required to meet the projects surveying requirements

CIVIL ESTIMATOR

Job Description:
  • Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team, including preparation of the Estimate Schedule 
  • Utilize estimating methods and the expertise of other project professionals to establish total project estimates 
  • Engage in direct contact with other functional areas, including client and field contractors
