DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Job Description:
  • Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases
  • Work to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning
  • To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with no or minimal downtime
  • Provide trend analysis and reports to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving of DB2, DB2 connect and other related tools
  • Improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
  • Implementation and release of database changes according to agreed timescales and costs
  • Installing and maintaining database system on a z/OS environment

 Job requirements:
  • In depth DB2 Database Administration experience
  • Experience of managing multiple versions of DB2 such as DB2 v10.1 and DB2 v11.1 RDBMS on large systems in a z/OS environment
  • Experience in handling and using tools such as IBM DB2 Performance Expert, DB2 Admin and Object Compare, IBM Log Analysis, and BMC Mainview for DB2
  • Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database projects
  • Familiar in SDSF, Sysview, RMM, RACF would be an added advantage
CREDIT MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVE

Job Description:
  • Oversee accounts receivables under the assigned portfolio and monitor using debt management system
  • Formulate strategies to entail a smooth trade receivable management function
  • Take charge of credit assessment of new and existing customers, determining risk exposure and highlighted adverse cases and potential bad debts
  • Prepare statement of accounts and debtors age analysis
