Job Description:
  • Assist in preparing and ensuring implementation of the billing Services objective, KPIs and functional strategic plan of the unit's activities by identifying  short and long term requirements in line with divisional and DEWA objectives and strategy.
  • Provide support, guidance and coaching to the direct subordinates in their roles. Maintain constant availability of the required number of expertise and competent staff to support the unit in meeting all its responsibilities, plans and objectives.
  • Ensure smooth and accurate processing of Customer Billing complaints handled by the frontline Billing Services team in all branches and provide continuous support.
  • Responsible for handling critical customer billing issues and ensure resolving all cases up to the customer satisfaction in coordination with other departments.

Job Requirements:
  • Must be UAE National
  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in any field.
  • Experience in customer service and team management.
  • Must be fluent in English and Arabic
  • Minimum 5 to 6 yrs. of experience in dealing with customers directly and should be managing team.
Job Description:
  • Act as a focal point for different aspects and activities related to crisis management in DEWA and Transmission Power division with NCEMA and other authorities.
  • Review and coordinate all operational and administrative activities related to Crisis Management in the Transmission Power Division.
  • Act as the focal point within DEWA for all issues related to DEWA Crisis Management to all outside parties including NCEMA and Dubai Crisis Team.
  • Collaborate with other departments and divisions within DEWA to prepare and analyse crisis management plans.Conduct necessary gap analysis to determine the types of emergency-related needs that need to be addressed in crisis management planning and provide technical support to others conducting such analysis.
  • Participate in developing and reviewing drill plans to address different crisis scenarios. Review drill reports including Lesson Learnd and follow up on recommendations as applicable. Participate in periodic reviews of facilities and equipment required for emergency command centers in order to determine their operational and functional capabilities in emergency situations.
  • Keep informed of laws and regulations affecting emergency plans, and ensure that DEWA plans adhere to these regulations.Liaise with other government agencies in order to facilitate crisis plan development, response efforts and for meeting other regulatory requirements.Prepare, in collaboration with concerned departments, status reports that describe response and recovery efforts and needs.
  • Provide necessary support and divisional coordinators for activities related to Enterprise Risk Management, Business Impact Analysis and business continuity.

  • Alway available to provide assistance and make vital decisions during crisis and emergency.
  • Plans for training of newly hired control engineers and trainees.
  • Ensure that daily events record, generation and intercoonection datas are entered and updated and required reports are prepared by control room.
  • Ensures that concerned higher management and concerned staff are duly informed of any major system disturbance.
  • To observe and adhere to OH&S standards and practices as per the DEWA guidelines at all times.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Min 10 years’ Experience in transmission control room supervision and operation) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Min 15 Years’ Experience). 
  • 10-12 years’ experience in the transmission operation and power system generation. Computer literacy, good command in English language and good report writing skills.

  • Assist the Project Management by Leading the Engineering and Inspection activities of Transmission Projects related to Switchgear field from initiation up to closing stage inline with TP Strategic Plan. Prepare a clear and understandable Switchgear scope of works for transmission projects in line with the issued Project Parameter Report to ensure coverage of
  • DEWAs requirements in the new tenders and to avoid any ambiguity or misunderstanding of the scope of works by bidders. Prepare amendments for technical aspects and reply technical queries raised by bidders during tendering stage to clear ambiguities in tender documents & drawings and clarify the un-cleared points.
  • Assess the technical offers and declared & hidden deviations submitted by bidders during the engineering stage and prepare the technical recommendation report.
  • Review and approve design drawings, documents and vendors submitted by contractors or consultants to ensure quality, their compliance with DEWAs specification, international standards, and scope of works.
  • Attend inspections and capability studies to assess the quality and compliance of equipment as per DEWA approval
