DESIGN HYDRAULIC ENGINEER
Location: Saudi Arabia
Job Description:
AECOM are currently looking to recruit an experienced Design Hydraulic Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia.  Reporting to the Water Practice Line Lead / Senior Engineer, you will be working on a range of water and irrigation projects across the region. You will be required to performs work, which may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.  Demonstrate competency in all conventional aspects of the subject matter of the functional area of the assignments, plan and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria and receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects whilst working independently with general guidance except for complex and unusual situations.
In addition the job will require you to;
·         Manage Design activities.
·          Be responsible for design according to standards and regulations.




·          Prepare and review technical documents and reports
·          Provide all technical advice
·          Report to Project Manager
·          Provide all necessary mentoring to the Client Counterpart as needed
·         Overall review and approval of contractor submissions related to water hydraulics and quality - Production of all required reports;
·         Supervise and monitor the water hydraulics and quality during commissioning stage
Job Requirements:
·    Applicants must speak fluently in Arabic and English
·    Design experience from an engineering consultancy in water / wastewater networks, reservoir, pump stations, main lines, treatment plants…
·    Design of at least five projects; each with a value greater than 50 Million SR
·    For B.Sc. holders -   minimum 12 years of experience of which 10 of international experience.
·    For Ph.D. holders -   minimum 10 years of experience of which 7 of international experience.
·    Excellent leadership and communication skills are a pre-requisite of the role.
·    Previous experience working on large scale projects is essential.
·    Project Management skills are a pre-requisite of the role.

As part of the strategic initiative, Global Delivery Center (GDC) organisation has been established in AECOM India to provide a wide range of technical services to other parts of AECOM offices around the world. At present, GDC has a core team of 70+ personnel experienced in Building engineering and Transportation design, located in Gurgaon, India. Further growth is underway to meet the plan of establishing 300+ team size, by the end of FY16, to provide technical services in multi-disciplinary building engineering, Architecture and Structural disciplines.
