Job Description
Environment and Geoscience is seeking a Contract Word Process to join our offices in Burnaby. Reporting to the Office Manager, the Word Processor will join a successful, collaborative, and creative team that writes, edits, illustrates, and produces complex, multi-volume technical proposals to win new business. Using your superior writing skills, you will translate technical information, resumes, and the company’s project experience into readable, concise, and professionally-formatted documents.

To perform this role successfully, the Word Processor will be responsible for the following:











RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The successful candidate will provide word processing assistance to the professionals of various client groups.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Preparation, input, formatting and proofreading of letters, reports, proposals, figures, flowcharts ad PowerPoint presentations. 
  • Ensuring that project and proposal documentation conform to company standards.
  • Creation and compilation of PDF documents
  • Other administrative tasks as determined from time to time






Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.   Knowledge of Visio and Coreldraw would be an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a professional environment, ideally in consulting engineering. 
  • English/literacy skills as it applies to reviewing documents for requisite grammar and punctuation
  • Proven organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced consulting environment encompassing frequent interruptions and deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to work some overtime as and when required
  •  Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
