Clinical development
Respond to trauma team activations that occur during work hours; function in whatever role necessary to assist the team in the care of the patient
Serve as a resource for the hospital staff regarding trauma care issues
Collaborate with trauma director, physicians and other health care professionals to provide clinical and system oversight for the care of trauma patients, ensuring the provision of efficient, quality, cost-effective care.
Identifies the need for and coordinates the development and implementation of clinical pathways for trauma patient populations incorporating members from the multi-disciplinary team.

Performance Improvement
Monitors the trauma team’s availability and compliance with policies and standards.
Coordinate and schedule trauma discussion round and multidisciplinary review meeting
Assist in data collection related to trauma patient




Research and Audit Activities
Participates in research selection, facilitates protocol design for data collection, analysis and distribution of findings.
Facilitates the use of the trauma database for audit of clinical practices (Trauma Audit Round)
Handle research admin and liaise with CIR

Education
Assist the program manager in planning and coordinating trauma- related educational program (Advanced Trauma Life Support- ATLS/ Trauma Simulation/ Trauma Lecture and adhoc projects)
Participate and organise internal and external educational program for physician and nurse

Administrative Responsibilities
Represents the Trauma Service on various hospital and community committees to enhance and foster optimal trauma care management.
Assist the Trauma Program Manager in the operational and financial aspects of the Trauma Service.
Job Requirements     
Bachelor Degree in Science/Nursing or Diploma in Health Science/ Nursing

Five years clinical experience in critical/ trauma/ emergency care

At least 3 years of clinical research experience.

Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships

Ability to accept and implement changes




Ability to problem solve and make decision
