About the Role:
In this role you will be accountable to handle the Catering lifecycle and manage key Catering stakeholders’ relationships. You will have to ensure that every flight departs on time, with all agreed menus, stores, bars and equipment, enabling Qatar Executive to provide Best-in-Class catering to Qatar Executive Customers.
·Search for available VIP catering providers on new QE destinations
·Obtain priced catalogues and negotiate better pricing and discounts
·Obtain VAT exemption for catering and related services
·Research & Design standard VIP menus based on local cuisines
·Coordinate with Sales team the client catering preferences
·Prepare and send the catering orders in time
·Coordinate catering with worldwide caterers for smooth operation
·Ensure the catering product is up to QE set standards and agreed levels
·Ensure all flights depart with requested catering, dry stores, equipment and linen
·Coordinate uplifts with operating crew and ramp coordinators
·Follow up and resolve catering disputes with caterers and crew
·Monitor catering quality and propose improvements and solutions
·Implement cost saving catering menus and optimize budget
·Regularly evaluate the quality of catering provided on QE flights and propose appropriate changes whenever needed
·Establish close working relationship with Sales, Procurement, QR Inflight Service- Product development, catering Providers in order to achieve the ultimate Service Excellence
·Ensure to timely procure all in flight commodities, including catering equipment and linen, passenger supplies
·Efficiently control and manage the supply stock level with regular inventory reports
·Meet caterers to address changes, presentation, packing & pricing
·Responsible for approving all catering related invoices
To be successful in this role, you must hold a Diploma or Associated Degree or equivalent. You will have a minimum of 5 years of Airline Catering experience working within an operational role, preferably 2 years in as Executive Jet Cabin Crew. You will need to have in-depth knowledge of processes, procedures and business practices of inflight catering operations and pervious work experience in solo flying operations. Moreover, you must be fluent with excellent command in English. With excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively across the organisation in a multi-cultural environment
