Description
Responsibilities internal to the organization include:

 Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Planning
·         5+ years of experience in the engineering industry consulting in  both the public and private sectors
·         Demonstrated ability to perform professional engineering work including transportation planning projects, coordinating and implementing transportation systems in accordance with acceptable engineering practices.
·         Experience with project management and leading project teams
·         Good people skills external facing (client relationship management) and internal facing (ability to lead and motivate staff)
·         Strong technical skills with a working knowledge of VISSIM, SIDRA, SYNCHRO, TRANSYT and HCS
·         Proficiency in English and Arabic languages
Experienced Transportation Engineer

Description
·         Contribute to traffic impact analysis projects
·         Visualize and illustrate a multi-dimensional problem (concept or design)
·         Research, analyze and interpret technical data to identify scope of problems and recommend potential solutions
·         Identify targeted specific information from a large amount of related data or written information in such sources as architectural and engineering plans, technical reports, field work, manuals, Agency Codes, and standard specifications
·         Determine project budget requirements to complete or carry out work for a proposed project
·         Lead technical aspect of a project and direct junior staff
·         Provide quality control on own work and junior staff work
·         Engage in Business Development conversations and write components of a proposal
·         Mentor junior staff and partcipate in knowledge sharing across business units

Qualifications
·        2-5 years of Transportation Engineering experience or experience in a related field
·        Minimum BSCE or MSCE (Bachelors/Masters of Science in Civil Engineering)
·        Need to know industry software pertaining to transportation analysis (Synchro, Highway Capacity Software, AutoCAD, Excel, Word, etc.)
·        EIT required, PE preferred

 Transportation Engineer

Description
This role will be responsible for business development activities such as identifying leads and opportunities, pre-marketing for upcoming projects, developing innovative pursuit strategies, writing proposals, preparing scopes of work and fee estimates, making presentations to clients, conducting interviews, and negotiating contracts with major transportation clients. We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in the Southern California market.
This individual will provide leadership, direction, and guidance to staff and will be responsible for achieving business growth, quality, client satisfaction, and project profitability goals and objectives for the Southern CA market. They will work with firm leaders to help develop and implement Transpo’s strategic direction for growth in CA. Qualifications
  • Minimum 12 years of related experience
  • Must have lived and worked in the Southern California market with a strong base of client relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree preferred) in engineering or related field
  • Strong technical expertise in ITS (a background in transit or tolling is a plus)
  • P.E registration in CA is desirable
  • Proven track record of winning and delivering work

Multimode Transportation Planner
Location: United States
Description
  • Background in transit planning and / or non-motorized planning
  • Exposure to travel demand modeling and / or traffic operations analysis
  • Familiarity with WA State Growth Management Act
  • Experience with GIS
  • Understanding of different transportation funding programs (grants, impact fees)
  • Transportation planning policy development
  • Background in working with a variety of different clients in the private and public sector
  • Determine project budget requirements in relation to personnel, materials, and equipment necessary to complete or carry out work of a proposed project or program for projects
  • Create strategic plans and lead proposal efforts
  • Maintain client base and secure new clients via project leads and advanced market intelligence in order to expand business’ profitability
  • Contribute to company’s sales and backlog goals
  • May represent Transpo at conferences or workshops
  • Assign and supervise data collection duties by technicians
  • Report preparation and technical writing including correspondence with clients

Senior Transportation Engineer
Location: United States  
Description
·        Managing complex traffic operations, analysis and planning projects through individual contribution, as well as delegating work and mentoring junior level staff
·        Being accountable for staff performance in managing the workload and quality control of the projects
·        Determining project scope, schedule and budget requirements necessary to complete a project within those limits
·        Presenting work to clients, peers and stakeholders in public settings (e.g., meetings, public hearings, etc.)
·        Working with public and private sector clients (managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously)
·        Completing transportation work such as traffic impact analyses, environmental impact statements, signal timing plans, parking studies, capacity, and level-of-service analysis
·        Contributing to company’s sales and backlog goals
·        Assigning and supervising data collection duties by technicians
·        Preparing reports and proposals utilizing technical writing skills
·        Managing client expectations and satisfaction, and soliciting feedback to improve service
·        Maintaining close contact with clients to address issues, identifying client business needs, and building rapport 
·        Crafting a persuasive argument for testimony in high-profile cases involving multiple points of conflict
·        Leading corporate or organizational strategic initiatives with other senior leaders
