Purchasing Analyst

Facility Supply Management (Facility Facing) are accountable for operating and monitoring the Global Supply Network, as designed, to meet the defined response time, cost, quality and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient Facility operations. We achieve this through cross collaboration with business partners and suppliers as the Facility Relationship Manager for all GSND. We resolve Facility specific supplier issues, and will ensure the processes, information and data that are created at each Facility include accurate supplier signals, and delivery, quality and cost performance measures. 

As a Purchasing Analyst you will perform confidential analysis, reports and maintain assigned processes that produce high quality results. Building expertise for the assign process area you will contribute to continuous improvement. You will analyse and maintain procurement and logistics data.  

This role will be responsible for deploying to the extended supply base key purchasing/supply chain initiatives such as, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), SLPO (Sing Line Purchase Order Conversion) in preparation for on-boarding to MRC (Material Replenishment Collaboration) , Self Bill and Tungsten – electronic invoicing. In addition this role will maintain responsibility for SOX reporting and audits for the Facility Supply team. The successful candidate will also participate in BIQ (Built in Quality) reporting and will provide support to the Facility Supply Professionals & Supply Network Facility Manager on an ad hoc basis as and when required.

- Strategy – Perform analytical, administrative and continuous improvement activiaites to support the Global Supply Network strategic initiatives.
- Customers – Coordinate communication between suppliers and other Caterpillar divisions (Materials Control, Quality Control, Engineering, Accounting) and offer support if needed by providing regular updates on tasks to ensure goals are me
- Travel - Limited travel may be required to support category, product, facilities, supply excellence or logistics management.
Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject area
- Equivalent relevant experience
- Intermediate to advanced skill in use of computer software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, purchasing systems, and e-mail systems is preferred.
- Requires effective communications skills – both oral and written
- Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style
- Familiar with basic procurement and quality principles, procedures, and techniques
- Able to prioritise work in a dynamic and fast paced environment

Warehouse Associate
As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar Inc., you will work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes 
* Perform material handling and warehousing functions 
* Order filling, processing, storing/ picking of parts, materials, equipment and supplies 
* Operating automated packaging equipment, paint line operation, shipping and receiving

Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 months distribution center, warehouse, and/or order filling experience 
* Experience with Standard Work/Standard Operating Procedures

Desired Qualifications:
* Experience with operation of heavy equipment ie forklift
