Role & Responsibilities
This position is for designing and developing Cisco products leveraging our expertise and market dominance in Date Center Switching Platforms. This position provides an opportunity to participate in the complete product lifecycle from concept to market and beyond.
● Design, develop, and test software features for Nexus switching platforms
● Drive closure to customer issues in partnership with senior engineers
● Suggest and implement improvements in software development methodology and/or products
● Drive quality in the products including unit test automation
● Roll up your sleeve with can do attitude and tackle challenging problems.

Minimum Qualifications
● Typically requires BS, MS or a Ph.D in EE/CS.
● Experience in developing embedded systems based on real-time OS
● Excellent programming skills in C or C++, Python, TCL or Perl
● Grasp of networking technologies like L2, L3, TCP/IP etc.
● Creative problem solving skills and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills
● Strong written and verbal communication
● Self motivated, highly ambitious, has a desire to challenge the status-quo

Desired Skills
● CCIE or other networking certifications
● Experience with Agile development methodologies
● Experience with test methodologies
● Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, prioritize them and manage time effectively
