Planning Model Developer

Job Description
We are seeking a Specialist with strong experience in Linear Programming (LP), specifically PIMS Model (Aspen-Tech Licensed software) to join the Saudi Aramco Downstream Business line. The applicant will be assigned as the Back-Office Planning Model Developer.. 
     
Qualifications & Experience:

The successful candidate should hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, 
• Fifteen years of experience in refinery and distribution systems. Three years must be in a planning and economics group where LP, simulation, and scheduling were used in planning and scheduling activities (excellent knowledge in Hydrocarbon Supply Chain planning).
• The candidate should have strong experience in various refineries’ processes (e.g., Crude unit, DHT, NHT, Reformer, Isomerization, BTX extraction, Hydrocracker, FCC, Delayed Coker, Visbreaker, Products Blending, Tank Farm operations). The applicant should have experience in various Distribution and Terminal operations (e.g., Bulk Plants, Pipelines, Truck loading, Terminal, Berth, SPM’s…etc.). 
• The applicant must have strong knowledge on Refined Products Specification and their significance.
• The candidate should have strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with attention to detail. 
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken) is a requirement.

Unconventional Corrosion Engineer

Job Description

 Saudi Aramco, long known for its leadership in oil exploration, production, and refining, is seeking experienced professionals to join our growing Unconventional Resources (UR) program. We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Corrosion Engineer.

As the successful candidate you will join UR Operations, which is responsible for operating all surface facilities, including field wells and processing facilities. The UR Operations team will operate the well manifolds, provide field services, maintain facilities, and reduce equipment downtime. The team will also perform preventive maintenance activities and provide maintenance services in addition to providing all the technical engineering and inspection activities.

Expansion of the team is required to meet the significant increases in operation activity levels. By the end of 2017 it is estimated there will be more than 270 km of pipelines, 520 km of flowlines, and five processing facilities scattered in different geographical locations.

As the successful candidate, you will lead the design review, follow the construction phase, and lead the commissioning and testing activities for the new shale gas facilities.
 
Qualifications & Experience:

You will have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or any other relevant engineering degree. An advanced degree is preferred. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration will be desirable but is not essential. A NACE certificate is preferred.

You will have minimum of 10 years of corrosion engineering experience preferably in shale gas facilities. You will also have knowledge of modular skid mounted process units. You will have a combination of experience in engineering consulting as well as owner operating facilities.

As a subject matter expert you will have extensive knowledge of corrosion management. You will be familiar with ASME, API, WRC and other industry codes applicable to the oil and gas industry. You will have experience in material specifications/selection, welding procedures/specifications, cathodic protection, protective coating, NDT, and water management as well as metallic and nonmetallic materials.

You will also have extensive experience and demonstrated success in the resolution of materials and welding issues encountered in the oil and gas industry, and sour and non-sour facilities with varying compositions of water, CO2, and H2S.


 

Elastomers Technical Support Engineer

Job Description



The successful applicant will report to the Marketing & Sales Director of Polymers & Intermediates, and work with multiple functions to support the sales and marketing of Engineering Plastics. The scope of the role includes technical support in complaint management, product/application development, customer qualifications and training. The Elastomers Technical Support Engineer is accountable for ensuring that he supports the Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) and ThermoPlastic Olefin or Polyolefin / ThermoPlastic Vulcanizates (TPO/TPV) Sales groups within the business. The Technical Support Engineer should have prior experience in the technical support function within the Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) industry supporting molding and extrusion customers. They will have an excellent understanding of EPDM processing methods in extrusion, compounding and injection molding. The incumbent will have an excellent understanding of the various end-segments and the value chain of the EPDM markets. Prior exposure to, and a sound understanding of automotive industry standards such as TS-16949, and the qualification procedures at various OEMs and Tier-1s are essential. Commercial experience in the relevant products with sizeable (to be defined) regional or global sales revenue responsibility is desired. A good understanding of post-processing methods such as surface modification, and printing, which are relevant to resolving troubleshooting complaints, is an advantage.

Engineering Plastics Technical Support Engineer

Fire Alarm Design Engineer

Job Description
Perform the function of fire alarm and detection designer, including production of construction documents related to commercial, institutional, residential, and office facilities. Thorough knowledge in NFPA and applicable codes and standards.
# Assess projects, identify design requirements, and prepare necessary design calculations using hand calculations and use a computer to run standard programs to solve engineering problems as required.
# Prepare design packages for fire alarm and detection systems, electrical systems, and data/communications, including preparation of design drawings, and scopes of work and technical specifications,
# Provide expert advice and assistance to design, construction, and maintenance engineers, and operating personnel on all matters pertaining to fire alarm and detection systems.
# Outline design intent, requirements, and objectives. Coordinate project development and lead a group of professionals.
# Select system type and components, and determine the minimum illumination and placement of visual devises.

Mechanical Engineer

Job Description


The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
Review detailed design contractor documents with respect to civil/structural/mechanical/HVAC/plumbing/fire protection systems and electrical system works execution.
Be responsible for all engineering and construction activities on assigned projects.
Coordinate all technical design activities for all disciplines.
Represent the unit during operational meetings between proponents, vendors, and other Saudi Aramco departments.
Mentor young engineers on engineering and Saudi Aramco processes.
Review plans and engineering design packages; and provide guidance on application of regulatory requirements, industry codes, and Horizon Standards. Review shop drawings, vendor drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications for compliance with contract documents.
Resolve day-to-day technical issues as they arise and report issues to management. Write technical reports and provide solutions to technical problems and site issues.
Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering.
A minimum of 7-10 years of working experience in mechanical design and/or construction, and/or supervised various maintenance types of jobs for commercial and residential facilities involving HVAC/electrical equipment, building renovations, plumbing/underground piping, or fire protection systems.
Knowledge in reviewing elevator design packages for installation and elevator inspection experience is desirable.
Must have working knowledge of Saudi Aramco engineering standards, and safety and other industry codes. Must be knowledgeable on the interpretation and application of International Building Codes (IBCs) and be familiar with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and ASHRAE standards.

Fire Protection Engineer

Job Description

Lead a team to operate and maintain building fire sprinkler systems, firewater systems, fire hoses, fire pumps, gaseous fire suppression systems, wet chemical fire suppression systems, foam fire suppression systems, and passive fire protection measures.
Must have a full knowledge of fire alarm system from conventional to the latest state of the art analogue addressable fire detection and alarm systems, emergency and exit lights, and passive fire protection measures.
Must be knowledgeable in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire protection systems in central monitoring stations; and must be able to interpret all data produced from these systems and able to recommend appropriate action based on sound engineering.
Must be able to revise new design approaches to problems; and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs; and monitor work for compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and NFPA and IBC fire codes.
Must be able to use leading industry fire protection software calculation programs.
Must have experience in planning, programming, estimating, scheduling, and quality control.
Must have excellent knowledge of NFPA 13, 20, 25, and 72
Perform operation and maintenance activities of fire protection systems at newly installed facilities, or upgraded systems of existing facilities. Act as a quality assurance expert in the field of mechanical engineering systems and procedures.


Qualifications & Experience:
Education: A B.S. in fire engineering, fire protection engineering, or fire safety engineering; an alternate qualification can be a B.S. in mechanical
/electrical engineering, with a post-graduate certificate/diploma, an M.S. in fire engineering, fire protection, or fire safety engineering; from a fully accredited and reputable university.

 Reliability Engineer

Saudi Aramco is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join Corporate Maintenance Services (CMS).

Corporate Maintenance Services (CMS) is an organization under the Industrial Services business line; CMS continuously promote and drive changes towards achieving and sustaining excellence in maintenance. CMS focuses on developing and implementing maintenance solutions in plant reliability, turnaround, maintenance systems and maintenance workforce development. CMS develops corporate maintenance KPIs to monitor Saudi Aramco maintenance organizations performance. CMS provides the required assistance for the maintenance organizations to overcome their performance gaps. In addition, CMS works with supporting organizations to ensure that services provided to maintenance organizations are optimized.

The reliability engineer primary role is to facilitate, the execution of corporate reliability programs companywide. That will include the implementation, follow-up and assessment of Total Plant Reliability Management (TPRM) program, Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System and other corporate reliability related initiatives

Qualifications & Experience:

Candidate must at least hold a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from a recognized university.

With minimum experience of 10 years in the energy industry, in particular the oil and gas sector in the fields of plant maintenance and reliability. This includes field experience in various types of equipment reliability program execution e.g. Reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM), Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO) and others.

 The engineering specialist will develop business cases to support profitability and growth targets. Specific functions to be performed include:

• Develop pre-feasibility studies for new business opportunities.
• Generate Downstream Investment Plans covering all sectors (Refining, Chemical, Power, Supply System) for both current and new facilities.
• Enhance the competitiveness of the current asset base by capturing integration opportunities.
• Develop value assurance processes for economic evaluations and business cases of capital projects throughout the project life cycle.
• Participate in value engineering sessions to maximize economic realization for projects.
• Incorporate study cases into the Linear Program (LP) and utilize it as a basis for business case definition.
• Update shift vectors in the LP with data from test runs and changes in operating modes.
• Perform back casting to identify the impact of any variance in the level of operations on the profitability of the complex and assess profitable business opportunities using the LP.
• Perform economic evaluation and rigorous financial modeling/analysis to identify value creation opportunities that align with the company’s strategic objectives.

Upon joining the team you will be involved in the EPC package review process and conduct technical evaluations of bids from equipment suppliers. You will also conduct site visits to perform precommissioning, commissioning, and startup of facilities. In the long term, you will provide technical support to operating plants after startup.
Qualifications & Experience
You will have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. An advanced degree is preferred. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration will be desirable but is not essential.

You will have 10-15 years of electrical engineering experience with a thorough understanding of plant operations, process technologies, supply and product logistics, business drivers, cost drivers, and feedstock sensitivities. Experience in shale gas facilities is preferred. You will also have a good knowledge of wind and solar energy systems. 

Knowledge of Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) software is desirable.

As a subject matter expert you will have detailed knowledge of National Electrical Codes (NEC), Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) standards, and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) codes to support the review of company standards, project reviews, and implementation of plant modifications to electrical systems.
