Description

·        
Agree on personal sales targets with the retails sales manager and the branch manager

Day-to-day activities
·         Actively sell/cross-sell asset and liability  products to new and existing customers
·         Prepare, assess and recommend loan product applications and maintenance requests and forward for approval to Consumer Processing Unit
·         Receive and process customer requests (e.g. account opening, NBAD online requests, returned cheque delivery, etc.)
·         Encourage customers to build their balances with the bank in order to migrate to higher customer programs
·         Generate leads for Elite and Elite Gold programs by referring eligible and potential customers to Elite lounges and centres
·         Educate Classic and Advantage customers about automated channels including ATM, call centre and NBAD online and promote their migration to these channels
·         Attract new customers to branch through personal relations and existing customer referrals
·         Respond to call center regarding customer inquiries forwarded
·         Meet individual sales targets
·         Participate in and potentially lead daily retail sales team meetings

Description

This function assumes responsibility for the  credit portfolio of the Global Wealth Division both in the UAE & International locations.   This position is virtually that of a team leader, with responsibility for the credit portfolio of Global Wealth Division which comprises largely the Private Banking portfolio in UAE, large and complex credits, as well as oversight over a portfolio, some of which may be reviewed by Junior Analysts And Analysts.
In particular, a greater emphasis will be placed on the adequacy and effectiveness of the risk management techniques and processes which includes exercising control over the credit portfolio and review of individual credits within GWD as well as the different Risk aspects.

Education and Skills
 
1.       Minimum 10 – 15  years or more experience in major financial institutions, of which the last 5 years in credit & risk related functions.
2.      A post graduate degree preferably with specialization in finance.  Additional professional degrees and accreditations would be preferred.
3.      Good working knowledge and understanding of all Global Wealth Business lines – Private Banking, Asset Management, Brokerage, Custody, Trust Services.
4.      Strong understanding of operational, legal, and credit risk related to securities and securities related businesses both within GCC and internationally.
5.      Demonstrable successful track record of credit approval and recommendation.
