Job Description
Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work for a global business unit usually in one discipline in a project or staff group.

Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements.

Performs work using appropriate 2-D and 3-D computer aided design and computer aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools.

Qualifications & Experience:

Knowledge of CENELEC standards EN50126, EN50128 & EN50129.

Understands the application of Engineering Department Procedures, relevant Bechtel design guides.Broad knowledge of the application of engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.

Knowledge of current computer applications for engineering and design including appropriate knowledge of CAD (both 2-D and 3-D), CAE to perform the work.

Understanding of engineering planning and control methods including computerized methods.

Understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including basic construction practices and the economics involved.

Rail experience which includes both design and construction

  • Assists in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, cost coding, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports. Performs performance monitoring and control functions for specific applications.

    - Determines scope definition requirements for a discipline or other specialty and works with Area/Functional support personnel and other sources to coordinate the production of required data to conform to the overall estimate preparation plan.

    - Performs cost data analysis and development.

    - Coordinates quantify estimates for trends/baseline change proposals.

    - Assists in developing specific project control accounts and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions. This includes training in the proper use and definitions for the cost      accounts.

    - Identifies scope of schedule activities. Determines schedule dates for work activities within a discipline area or specialty. Determines milestones to support project schedule.

  • Grade 23: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management or related discipline from an accredited university and 1 year of professional experience or, in lieu of a degree, 7 years of project controls experience on EPC job or equivalent job.

    Grade 24: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management or related discipline from an accredited university and 3 years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, 9 years of project controls experience on EPC job or equivalent job.

Job Description

  •  Experience with global platform model analysis and design for fixed jacket and associated topsides structures.
    2. Includes not only the in-place operating and storm conditions but also the pre-service load conditions (load-out, sea transport, and installation)
    3. Minimum of 5- 10 years’ design experience with fixed offshore platform design is required
    4. Being fully capable and experienced in using the design standard, API RP2A-WSD, and the structural analysis software program, SACS, is required

Develop and manage processes to deliver, monitor and review engineering outputs to support the programme schedule, budget, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
